Felt it good here on the Westside..the one last week in Bakersfield I barely felt that one but this one was much stronger
4.4 is a dish-rattler, not much more. I was 5 miles from Loma Prieta when that quake happened. That was more noticeable.
Depends on what you were doing at the time, I was sitting on my bed so felt it more than lets say if you were walking around or driving
People felt it in Hemet...That’s about 50 miles straight line.
I just read on X someone say, “False alarm... Rosie O’Donnell fell out of bed”.

Why is this news?
Initially USGS had 4.7.
It seemed like maybe it was the start of a big earthquake. But it was just one boom. Then stopped.

Moderate jolt after the Bakersfield 5.9 last week. Different fault lines though.

Last week quake had 277 aftershocks recorded.
Not likely. Just your average shake.
I felt it here. My desk shook a once for no reason, so I looked it up on USGS and saw that quake.
Boss was only a dozen miles from it and felt it good.
Happened while I was in my office on the 10th floor (out of 12) in Glendale. Worst I’ve felt since I started working here, seriously thought the suspended ceiling was going to fall in.
