Short term gains for long term pain. This will only prolong the war. If they win big Russia may well use Nukes and take out all the cities of Ukraine in one afternoon. Would that cause a world wide Nuke war? I think not. Who in NATO will volunteer to be turned into a scrap heap? England? Germany?
