I am not pro Ukraine but foe then it’s a good move and forced Russia to bomb out their own towns to fight ukrainians.
Good comparison also add the 1944 Ardennes offensive to the analysis.

Many more historical comparisons of the Ukrainian government with the Nazis. Ukraine’s bio labs, cancelling of elections, bombing of the ethnic Russian provinces ( since 2014), street names ( and statues) honoring the Ukrainian Nazi Bandera, abolishing the Russian Orthodox Church ( they now celebrate Christmas like the West, Dec 25, instead of Jan 7), abolishing the Russian language, etc…Nazis will be Nazis.
Short term gains for long term pain. This will only prolong the war. If they win big Russia may well use Nukes and take out all the cities of Ukraine in one afternoon. Would that cause a world wide Nuke war? I think not. Who in NATO will volunteer to be turned into a scrap heap? England? Germany?
