That the Prophet said to her, “You have been shown to me twice in my dream. I saw you pictured on a piece of silk and some-one said (to me). ‘This is your wife.’ When I uncovered the picture, I saw that it was yours. I said, ‘If this is from Allah, it will be done.”

HADITH Sahih Bukhari [7:62:64] Narrated ‘Aisha:

that the Prophet married her when she was six years old and he consummated his marriage when she was nine years old, and then she remained with him for nine years (i.e., till his death).

Biology alone gives solid reason for one. It’s very dangerous for a young girl below a certain age to become pregnant as her body is no where near finished developing.

Pregnancy is hard enough on the body when you’re an adult (in your 20’s adult). It’s going to really wreak havoc with a girl who is not finished maturing.
