Green Party nominee Jill Stein has been recruiting Palestinian Americans to be her vice presidential running mate as the left-wing presidential candidate looks to exploit the community’s frustrations with Democrats' support for Israel during its war in Gaza.
Three potential candidates told NBC News Friday they had multiple conversations with Stein about the job. A spokesperson for a third potential candidate, the Democratic mayor of Dearborn, Michigan, Abdullah Hammoud, confirmed Stein asked him if he was willing to be considered for the job — before realizing Hammoud is too young to be constitutionally eligible.
Stein is planning to announce her running mate next Friday. It’s unclear whom she has chosen or if she has made her decision yet. The Stein campaign did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

We'll still have to see how the DNC convention goes.
The folks over by DU (where I saw this story) are reflexively blaming Putin.
Please take ALL the progressive votes from Obama's next puppet.
Jill, Honey.
You go girl!
Stein is one of the sickest people in America but she wants to out-Democrap the DNC?
that’s not only sicko, its stupid (politically speaking)
but she’s a loser anyway so she figures she can do whatever the sheit she wants and it won’t hurt her
maybe she’s just in all this political krapo just to have some perverse fun?
23 point bump!
Good idea! That will draw many voters who might otherwise gone for Heels Up.
YES. And Trump should include her in a town hall debate with RFK.
Jill Stein is Jewish, raised by Reform parents who brought her to Chicago’s North Shore Congregation Israel for worship.
So she wanted to balance the ticket like the Northeast JFK and the Texan LBJ in 1960.
Most Reform Jews are “not particularly interested” in the future survival of Israel. Large majority favors the Dem in each presidential election.
Orthodox Jews: Pew Research, 2020-—outdated now.
Orthodox Jews (10% of Jews): 60% describe their political views as conservative, 75% identify as Republicans or lean toward the GOP, and 81% approved of Trump’s job performance at the time of the survey.

in 2020 the Orthodox Jews had huge pro-Trump rallies in Brooklyn and they were constantly being arrested for breaking lockdown rules...and once the cops left they would be out in the streets again with their Trump flags..Iwas at the rally in the south Bronx and there were a LOT of orthodox Jews in attendance...

“Jill Stein is Jewish, raised by Reform parents “
In the Jewish faith, what is “reform”?
Socialist politics, same sex ‘marriage’, and dogs can have a ‘bark mitzvah’. No hint of God.
Drawing votes away from the dems is the reason I thought it was a good idea to bring RFK Jr. into the mix. For better or worse he still is a third party candidate.
He should participate in any debates.
I think he would pull a ton of votes away from heels-up and very little away from Trump. jill stein would do likewise.
Trump sails on to victory.
RE: In the Jewish faith, what is “reform”?
My informal, off the cuff summary.
Reform (or Liberal) Judaism. Broke away in the 1840s and now has few regulations such as food and its preparation not having to be kosher and yarmulkes optional and more. Fasting not necessary. Many otherwise non-observant Jews (comedians, TV and movie stars, business and professional types) are usually Reform Jews.
Conservative (sometimes indistinguishable from observant Orthodox but allowing more leeway in many areas).
Orthodox (most observant such as keeping kosher for food and observing Sabbath and fasting on holy days such as Yom Kippur)
Chabad and other Lubavitcher (Crown Heights, NY one where Trump’s daughter Ivanka goes to honor the late head Rabbi). Attempts to follow the 613 Mitvah commandments in the first books of the Bible (starts with the 10 Commandments).
Samar Jews are a similar group from mostly Hungarian origin.
Reconstructionist (not considered truly Jewish by Orthodox).
Humanistic (also not accepted by Orthodox). 4% of US Jews. Founded 1963.
Considered non-theistic and is open to the secular humanistic basis for rituals such as weddings.
Personal note: By happenstance I ended up standing a foot away from Rabbi Sherwin Wine, the chief rabbi and founder of the branch when I attended a family friend’s son’s funeral.
A few of the 613 Commandments in the Bible:
To give charity—Deuteronomy 15:11
To repent and confess wrongdoings—Numbers 5:7
Not to derive benefit from idols and their accessories—Deuteronomy 7:26
Men must not wear women’s clothing—Deuteronomy 22:5
The courts must carry out the death penalty of the sword—Exodus 21:20
Thank you for the info.
Very informative.
Great information!
Beautiful!
Jill Stein (Green Party) stopped Hillary Clinton from winning Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania - and, the White House - in 2016.
If Jill Stein gets a big block of Palestinian voters in metro Detroit, Trump clearly has a chance to win the state.
tapping into the protected tephlon class
Aside from all that, if a man “identifies as” a woman, we are supposed to treat him as we would treat a woman, right?
So I think if someone “identifies as” a something-American, such as Palestinian-American, we should treat them as ineligible to become president, since they are clearly not fully American.
Only exception would be African-Americans like Terry Williams, as opposed to Afican-Americans like Elon Musk.
