This is total BS. Total BS. Fox News is saying this?
Trump called the guy on day one and asked to help. Walz refused to send out the guard. The mayor asked too. Walz said no.
On day THREE Trump called again. I don’t if he threatened him or what he did. The guard were FINALLY called out and the riots quelled in minutes.
Afterwards, he did praise him.
THOSE ARE THE FACTS.
This will be good for a lot of mileage here at FR...as if things aren’t already goofy enough...The replies to this will be interesting...I’m going to go read and nap!
Could be AI
Thanks.
Faux News.
So what? All DJT did was recalibrate his position.
This is a total lie.
Keywords...the last couple of days
He's about building bridges - even when those he seeks to build them with initially screw up big time.
What the mainstream media gets really wrong about Trump is portraying him as this belligerent character just itching to pick fights. The truth is that Trump’s natural disposition as a business guy is to get along with people. Complimenting Walz’s handling of the riots is just Trump being a nice guy.
That praise was when Walt finally called up NG. Prior to that, MN was burning.
I actually heard the entire call on a video yesterday. It was not at all what they are making it sound like. And the key is when Trump praised him for his actions “the last couple of days”, when he acquiesced to what Trump asked him to do.đ
The whole thing is a farce.
I personally would be more comfortable seeing the full context of this rather than the words of some Freeyores...

This is Trump praising the Guard, not the governor.
Thanks for the context. Context is often everything, and in the case of the MSM (Including Fox) context is often the major thing missing.
Waltz himself admitted he was to blame for the slow state response to the riots in the first three days it occurred:
Hereâs How Kamala Harrisâ VP Pick Responded to the George Floyd Riots
Walz did accept some responsibility. âIf the issue was the state shouldâve moved faster, yeah, that is on me,â he admitted.

Walz finally activated the National Guard at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, 18 hours after Frey asked him to do so. Walzâs spokesman, Teddy Tschann, said the governor needed more information to deploy the soldiers.
âAs a 24-year veteran of the Minnesota National Guard, Governor Walz knows how much planning goes into a successful mission,â Tschann said at the time. âThatâs why he pushed the City of Minneapolis for details and a strategy. He ordered the Minnesota National Guard to start preparing Thursday morning, which allowed them to deploy to both St. Paul and Minneapolis that evening, per the Mayorsâ requests.â
Yet the National Guard did not arrive on scene that afternoon. As the Star Tribune reported, soldiers went to other locations, including the Capitol in St. Paul, but troops did not arrive at the south Minneapolis area of the Third Precinctâthe site of the worst riotingâuntil almost 4 a.m. on Friday, May 29, by which time most rioters had left and the precinct had been burning for hours.
National Guard Bureau spokesman Rob Perino said Walz was in charge of the time line. âThe governorâs office directs the National Guard to respondâwhen and where,â he said. âThatâs how any state will tell you it goes.â
Just shows the new Fox (in the henhouse) is no friend of Trump or us.
They have some good people, but the main news division is democrat light
