Any non-NBC of the United States is vulnerable to such treatment (arguably legitimately, however thin the justification might be) by the one or more foreign countries that constitute their foreign spice at birth.
For example, Ted Cruz could theoretically have received such treatment by Canada or Cuba. Or Kamala Harris by Jamaica or Zindia.
This (if nothing else, a form of sovereign-level humiliation of our so-called “elites”, or members of our “political class”) is the price we pay for over-recognizing, among our ordinary citizens, U.S. NBC status.
“Stupid is as stupid does” Not our problem and should be a warning shot across the bow to the sheeple who have fallen for this charade called Ukraine. We owe Ukraine nothing as well we owe Russia nothing. That is a quagmire that needed to happen.

Which could have been easily avoided if she had renounced her Russian citizenship when she swore loyalty to the US and was granted U.S. citizenship in 2021. Naturalized citizens should not have dual citizenship.
