Why do these articles use the term “fake electors” rather than alternate elector slates? Alternate would seem more accurate and less inflammatory
Suppose you are appointed by the American National Party to vote for John Galt in December 2024.
Suppose also that an Elector for Kamala Harris is given a signed Certificate of Ascertainment, and you are not.
Every fourth December, there are at least 538 would-be Electors who are in this situation.
What must one do to turn being an Elector candidate not appointed to committing the crime of being a “fake Elector”?
