Overwhelming evidence Venezuela opposition won election - Blinken

The US secretary of state has said there was "overwhelming evidence" Venezuela's opposition won the recent presidential election.

In a statement Antony Blinken said it was clear Edmundo González, had won the most votes - despite incumbent president Nicolás Maduro declaring a disputed victory.

"Given the overwhelming evidence, it is clear to the United States and, most importantly, to the Venezuelan people that Edmundo González Urrutia won the most votes in Venezuela's 28 July presidential election," Mr Blinken said.

His intervention comes as the presidents of Brazil, Mexico and Colombia all called on Venezuela to release the full details of last Sunday's election.

Last Sunday, the electoral council, which is government-controlled, announced President Maduro had won the election for a third term.

But this was immediately disputed by the opposition who said, with access to the majority of receipts from electronic voting machines around the country, it was false.

The opposition has said its own vote tally shows it won the election by a wide margin. Opinion polls ahead of the election had suggested a clear victory for the challenger.

President Maduro has previously accused foreign governments of interfering in the election.

Blinken is probably saying to himself,”Now how can we do that?”

So it was all above the board?
Keep thinking that.

So it was all above the board? Keep thinking that.

The “election” alleged to be fraudulent has no Constitutional existence. The 50 State Legislatures which appoint 535 Electors (and Congress, which appoints 3) have all adopted the custom of having people voting as the means by which the appointments are normally made, but this creates 51 elections, not one.

Those 51 elections occur at the direction of, and are subservient to, 50 legislatures and Congress. The States unwisely granted Congress 3 Electors by ratifying the XXIII Amendment in 1960, so Congress does have supervisory power OVER THOSE THREE, but not otherwise.

There is only one Presidential election in the Constitution, it takes place in December, there are 538 voters, and in December 2020 Biden got 306 of them and was elected President.

No State Legislature objected that its Electors were not the ones they had appointed. No State Legislature even convened to consider the matter. In the case of Pennsylvania, the Legislature fled to avoid considering the matter.

It has never been alleged that a single one of the 306 votes for Biden/Harris was a forgery, that the Electors who casted them were impersonating someone else, or that the Legislatures had secretly appointed other Electors.

There is zero space for an allegation of fraud in the Constitutional Presidential election of December 14, 2020.

As far as the 51 elections which occurred on November 3, 2020, they may very well have been rife with fraud, but since the appointment power of the 50 State Legislatures (535) and Congress (3) is plenary, that’s a problem for those legislatures to deal with should they choose to do so.

Fraud was certified.

The election was stolen fair and square.

Just like Venezuela.

Do you agree or disagree that the appointment of Electors is a power reserved to State Legislatures, an aspect of the partial sovereignty of US States, and that WHATEVER happens prior to the appointment, they can basically do what they want?

Do you disagree that the Republican Legislatures of Arizona, Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Georgia, for whatever reason, desired the appointment of Biden Electors, had the power to stop it at any time prior to the morning of December 14, and did not do so?

What the voters did or did not do has nothing to do with it, and if you think people voting in November is a part of the Constitutional procedure for replacing or continuing in office a President, can you point to where in the Constitution we could read about it?

None of that matters—there was massive voter fraud—I do not care what procedure was used to endorse it—or even whether that procedure is valid.

Fraud is fraud—and a million words and legalistic mumbo jumbo cannot hide that simple fact.

ANYONE denying voter fraud occurred in 2020 as much the enemy as Democrat.

No rational person believes Trump won 18 of 19 bellwether counties that voted with winner since 1980 and lost.

Mail-in ballots, drop boxes combined with the loosening of voter integrity standards like signature verification and chain of custody rules allowed for massive voter fraud.

There are literally hundreds of thousands of addresses of voters that are dead and to addresses where no voters live. Illegals are currently bragging about being registered to vote.

You're a joke.

Voters do not appoint Electors, it’s that simple.

Voters DO appoint Senators, Congressmen, State officials, etc - a lot of thought and a lot of debate went into the Electoral College.

Sorry to you and all.

I should have stayed out of this.
