I do remember Trump’s conference where he said to take the guns first, due process later. One of his worst moments.

This is inconsistent with his views
https://fedsoc.org/commentary/fedsoc-blog/a-second-amendment-grade-for-president-trump-so-far
From the Federalist Society - A Second Amendment Grade for President Trump So Far:
Largely Doing The Right Things

As with Trump’s rhetoric, most of his administration’s policy efforts have been consistent with his promise to protect the right to keep and bear arms.

Early in his first term, federal agencies reversed course on several Obama-era policies that would have jeopardized Americans’ Second Amendment rights. For example, under the Trump Administration, the State Department settled a previous Obama Administration lawsuit with Defense Distributed and permitted that organization to publish its blueprints for 3D-printed guns online. This was a win for both the First and Second Amendments. Americans clearly have a right to discuss and disseminate information about how to conduct lawful activities—including how to smith a firearm for personal use.

Similarly, the Trump Administration rescinded (before it could go into effect) an Obama-era regulation that would have effectively stripped the Second Amendment rights of any person who checked a particular box on a form submitted to the Social Security Administration. Normally, before the government can prohibit a person from keeping and bearing arms, it must first prove at some sort of hearing or trial that the person is a criminal, seriously mentally ill, or otherwise poses a serious danger to the community. The new Obama rule, however, would have summarily declared tens of thousands of Americans ineligible to exercise a constitutional right without first providing them any semblance of due process.

He’s young.

He’s also not wrong.
But the time for this was the primaries. Now it’s too late.
However, it’s ok to let Trump know this isn’t acceptable.

As much as trump irks me, one of his best qualities is that he will listen when his bases pushes back.
The problem is that it’s hard to push back on some of his bull, bc his sycophants go bat crap crazy attacking.

And when people feel they can’t speak up, they silently go away. And then don’t show up to vote.

No one sabotaged their own side like Republicans.

It’s like we’re trying to lose.

Y’all haven’t figured it out yet.
Gun owners are considered to be criminals,
so ignore all the stupid rules they dream up.
Do what you know is right.
Ignore Democrats and RINOs.

one of his best qualities is that he will listen when his bases pushes back.

And it is imperative, for the future of The Republic, that we do push back.

No. Nope. What a bull crap response. You can’t say that if you voted for him in the primary without even questioning this. This is why debates are important! But “he’s too far ahead in the main stream media polls to go to a debate”.
Well guess what. We didn’t get to hash this out so he could explain.
That’s why primaries matter.

But the sycophants just wanted a coronation!

This is the brilliance of the right. Now is probably the time to try and increase voter turnout fro gun owners ans enthusiasts. Holding Trump accountable now does nothing but depress his vote.

Yes, yes, Harris is the girl now to vote for. It is far better to destroy the entire country quickly for all time than to vote for someone who hasn’t crossed every one of his t’s or dotted all his i’s. Makes perfect sense.

How can anyone be so self-righteously stupid and hidebound? It must take effort.

Thank you for that!

Add to that, that I think your time to do this is limited.

Only president to have a permit to carry. In NY, no less, which was virtually impossible to get.

Whatever. Thirty years ago or so:
I used to be all in the “war” on drugs.
I used to blindly support law enforcement.
I used to trust my government more.
I used to somewhat support our stupid policing wars.
I used to lean toward federal government over state in most cases.
I voted for John Cornyn and the Bushes cause the alternative was worse.
I used to have liberal friends.

Then I grew up and wised up a bit. Was I not a conservative back then? He is not perfect, but he is the only choice today, yesterday and tomorrow.

I think you confuse sycophant behavior with disgust of people who add nothing but bitch and sneer non-stop. They somehow think they are better then us and superior to Trump. You know, like childless progressive women.

Reagan carried as President and had used a 45 to stop a robbery and had carried a gun in California as a union leader when dealing with the communists, don’t know about permits.

Gee. No mention of the three Supreme Court justices who have upheld the Second Amendment.

All or nothing has not been a productive strategy for Second Amendment supporters.

I hope he’ll listen.
I’m still waiting on that “reciprocity” issue he was going to take care of on day one last term.

There is this to be considered: We now have almost 4 years of Biden to compare to 4 years of Trump to make your choices. All things considered, I would have to say it appears to be idiotic to vote Democrat again.
