In the future, at least two large computer manfacturing companies may be working to combine RISC (ARM, RISC-V, PPC, etc) CPU processors with GPUs, putting more pressure on (CISC based) Intel CPU sales (one is Nvidia).

Actually Nvidia already has one out. Look up Garace Hopper. Researchers are lining up to throw wads of cash at this platform. GH200...

Many, many moons ago I worked on computers from Hewlet-Packard that IIRC first started implementing RISC-V CPUs. They ran MPE-IX and HP-UX. They were sweet. That was back when HP was still a real technology company run primarily by actual engineers.

Loved working with MPE-V and MPE-IX. The HP-3000 line was solid as heck.
