Lake will lose in November.
This sums up perfectly the ongoing debates we’ve had over the years here on Free Republic.
People want to see strong conservatives nominated, and then people are disappointed when they lose the general election.
Then people start talking about, we should nominate Republicans, who can win the general election. And that means someone who’s not as strong conservative , and who can gain more moderate or independent voters.
But then if such a candidate wins the general election, then people here will complain that he or she is a RINO.
We can’t have it all in politics. We on Free Republic are more conservative than the average Republican, and far moreso than any moderate or independent voters needed to win a general election in many places in this country.
So what’s the answer? Is there an answer?
