Tommy Robinson arrested in Kent under anti-terror laws: Force said it detained man, 41, at the Channel tunnel in Folkestone before protesters stormed Downing Street demanding his release

Tommy Robinson was arrested in Kent under 'anti-terror laws', a day after organising a mass demonstration in London.

The far-right activist was detained by police at the Channel tunnel in Folkestone and later released on bail.

It comes after flag-waving protesters stormed Downing Street yesterday demanding his release.

Chants of 'release Tommy now' and 'we want Tommy out, we want Tommy out' could be heard from protesters, as tourists filmed the men on their phones.

Kent Police said on Sunday night that a man, 41, had been detained at the Channel tunnel in Folkestone under schedule 7 of the Terrorism Act, The Guardian reported.

This legislation allows an examining officer to stop and question people entering and leaving the UK through ports, airports, international rail stations and the border area.

When necessary, they may also detain and search individuals.

The newspaper said Robinson was arrested 'for frustration of schedule 7 examination' and was later released on bail as enquiries continue.

Defending yourself against bodily harm is illegal in the UK. No wonder my ancestors left in the 1600’s.

Thanks for posting. I’m glad there’s many folks here at FR that now know who this guy is and what he’s been put through. For the longest time, nobody outside the UK seemed to know...now he’s being interviewed by people like Dr. Jordan Peterson.

Freepers are a knowledgeable bunch and yeah it’s odd you all know who he is while not many in the US would.

Same applies to Nigel Farage who is also a good friend of Trump but perhaps he is more known

Or the UK’s Deep State doesn’t consider him a threat at the moment.

More, FWIW, here...

https://uk.news.yahoo.com/tommy-robinson-flees-court-arrest-update-where-134250695.html

Where would Robinson go?

What country in the EU would refuse to return him to the UK?

Unless the UK’s Deep State is happy to have him gone.

And if something should happen to Robinson elsewhere, well, that’s not the UK’s Deep State’s fault, is it...

Thanks for the link. Someone once said that Europe is in the shape it’s in because every man with balls had migrated to the U.S. in the 18th & 19th centuries. Hence, Britain and the Continent caved to socialism in the 20th, after having been decimated in two wars and having to turn to us for help.

I see that Tommy’s DNA somehow survived.

Related update from UK YouTuber BlackBtBarrister...

Is there REALLY no Right to Silence?

He's very, very careful, doesn't discuss Robinson in particular but the legislation involved in specific.

And the specifics are terrifying.

He won't say so, but I will: The UK is screwed if the citizenry doesn't regain control of its government.
