Sen. Chris Van Hollen (D-Md.) said it was a “mistake” for Democrats to support Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu giving an address to Congress.
“I believe it was, and I’ve expressed that view,” he said when asked on CBS’s “Face the Nation” whether it was a mistake for Democrats to support the visit. “But the reality is, obviously, he came. So for those of us who thought it was a mistake to have him here, we expressed our views by not participating.”

The only thing I thought of, regarding headline, is who is Van Hollen and why should anyone care what he says?

I was raised to believe that we have freedom of speech here and that would include visiting dignitaries. They have the right to speak and be listened to at this type of function as it is the way the countries can get a better understanding and find ways to reach agreements, especially with our allies. The US voters didn’t hire these people, and pay them, not to do their job. And I can probably understand that both sides of the senate and house didn’t like some of the speakers. But the list of people they should have paid attention to is long and important:

These are just a few of the people that have spoken in congress over the past couple of years. And I’m relatively sure there were people in the room that didn’t like them. But they, by showing their lack of participation in the addresses, display their incompetence and disregard for the needs of the US citizenry. They should be impeached and removed from office if the do not want to do their job. They swore an oath, they broke it.

Yes. To most, those voters not paying close attention, the Democrats have deniability in either direction.
It's not just abortion. The Jews are socialist. They're at home with the Democratic Party.
So if the American Jews continue to support the Democratic Party, why should we support Israel? We should cut off foreign aid to Israel. At this point, Israel can build their own factories to meet their defense needs so they won't need to depend on us. This isn't the '70s anymore, Israel's economy is large enough to be self-sufficent for their defense.
If they are not serious about being self-sufficient, perhaps they need to catch the first flight out of Tel Aviv to escape to the West and surrender the Holy Land to Hamas.
