But immigrants ARE having children. I think it is a difference in priorities. Most young people starting at my workplace have a $$$ monthly phone plan, unused gym membership, HBO/Stars/ESPN package...Ordering food delivery. Living alone in a 1 BR apt. when for 1.5x they could have a 2BR/ roommate and split rent/utilities or live at home.
