I hate to say it but this election is going to be about vibes. And right now, the vibes have shifted.
I could see a scenario where Vance falls on his sword and takes himself out of the race. Shame too, because I like Vance.
But Trump needs to win. He needs to get the vibes back. If it can be effectively demonstrated that JD Vance is a drag on the ticket, he’ll need to go.
Swapping him out on Day One of the DNC would be interesting timing.
