“The average temperature for the year through June 2024 was 1.64C higher than the era from 1850 to 1900, according to Copernicus. Last month was the hottest ever June, the 13th consecutive time a month has set a new average temperature record.”

Hmm, why do they always pick the average temperature from 1850 to 1900 instead of a rolling average of say the last 10 years ???

Why don't they ever pick temperatures from 1743 or 1655 or 490 or 35 BC?

Because there's no way to know which means the claim hottest day recorded is ridiculous on its face.
