The Constitution, article 2 section 1 however, does not specify/define what “natural born” means. However, there are two agreed upon definitions:
1) Being born on US soil. Regardless of one’s parents, if you are born in America, you are a natural born citizen.
The constitution does NOT say two citizen parents.
If born on U.S. soil was the only requirement, children of diplomats and diplomatic staff would be eligible yet they’re explicitly not.
