Dan Bongino is correct in his assessment and criticism of the Secret Service protection of any Presidential candidate, specifically in Butler Penna. shooting incident.
You can't just bring in a DHS employee, hand them a gun, have them look assertive in a suit and sunglasses and have them react to a 'shots fired' scenario
It takes arduous training over a period of time to train to deny your basic and natural instincts to go to 'duck and cover' for self-preservation,
versus the trained need to cover and protect the asset.
It's not about "looks" and DEI, which are all superficial characteristics,
it's about training to overcome your natural instincts and commitment to protect the 'asset', even at your own personal cost.

It takes training to know how to act and react
It takes training to know how to crowd control before and after an incident.
It requires instinct and anticipation if something goes wrong, and ready to react at a millisecond notice, with knee-jerk reaction, like flipping a switch.
It requires muscle memory as to know, without looking, where your equipment is located, as well as having it handy and available,
especially if your represent the inner circle of multiple circles of security protection.
It requires experience in getting and whisking the asset out of harms way as soon as possible during chaos.
It requires a mind-set of a willingness to self-sacrifice your own personal safety in order to protect the asset.

Of the three female agents, only one got her priorities in order after 8- 10 seconds,
the two others were nothing short of a Vegas floor show.
That was all about DEI in the DHS/Secret Service in a nut shell - it's all about the "looks", ..and not the effectiveness.

What bothered me is not just their body language and attitudes, bouncing around, ponytail whipping from side to side, looking completely panicked. That is bad enough due to the contagion of fear and panic it can induce in those around you, not just the civilians, but your own team.

And it wasn't completely the focus on getting the sunglasses on, and one even adjusted her clothing, pulling her jacket down to straighten it out. All that indicates people who, in an emergency, don't know what to do, so they do something, be it holstering their firearm, putting on their sunglasses, or straightening rumpled clothing.

What really bothers me is that their training should have trained all of that out of them. And that means the training is either being compromised in the minimum requirements to include people who shouldn't be included in that job, or their core training is being compromised to include things like gender sensitivity, etc.

In all of this, contrast those three females with the large bald, sunglassed guy to the left of the screen. Ask yourself how his actions and demeanor contrast to those three females. Do they look like they are in control, or does he?

Who do you want piloting your jetliner when an engine is lost? Who do you want to share your foxhole with when a communist Chinese soldier jumps in at 3 AM to stick you with a bayonet, or...who do you want managing your detail when the President is shot?

They are trained to “make yourself big”. It was obvious in the footage that there were two trained SS agents who made themselves big, and the rest ducked down in fear.

Just like the Vegas shooter, this will all get buried in a useless internal investigation and then memory- holed.

My wish is to live long enough to learn the true stories of Obama, the 2020 steal, and the assassination attempt. Heck. I almost lived long enough to learn the true grassy knoll story.
