It’s not a DDOS attack—CS released a broken patch, which bricked a ton of Windows systems.
You could be right. I just saw a news report saying it was a DDOS, but I was just paged out of sleep.
If Azure or AWS use Crowdstrike, that sure sounds like a single point of failure to me. You would think if they bricked systems with Crowdstrike in some way, they wouldn’t (or shouldn’t) have done them all at once in key areas.
Our problems were not Crowdstrike itself, but issues with cloud-based authentication and such.
