The House Oversight Committee on Wednesday issued a subpoena for the Secret Service director to testify next week on the attempted assassination of Donald Trump.
The committee had written to agency Director Kimberly Cheatle on Tuesday to request a voluntary hearing July 22, which the Secret Service originally said she would attend. However, after Department of Homeland Security officials intervened in scheduling, the director's attendance was called into question, House Oversight Chairman James Comer said in a letter released alongside the subpoena.

“In addition, since DHS’s intervention, there have been no meaningful updates or information shared with the Committee,” Comer wrote. “The lack of transparency and failure to cooperate with the Committee on this pressing matter by both DHS and the Secret Service further calls into question your ability to lead the Secret Service and necessitates the attached subpoena compelling your appearance before the Oversight Committee.”
The subpoena commands Cheatle to appear for the previously scheduled July 22 hearing.
Are they ready to throw her in jail if she does not comply?

Shiver me timbers, here comes another sternly worded letter.
Local police chief are stating their assignment was 7 officer charged with traffic details.
The demoncraps don't care. They think it makes them look like a "badass". They think they are "putting it to the man". Oooo they are SO tough. What a joke, ha.
If the pubbies ho-hum this and throw none of contemptuous bastards in jail, they will be greenlighting the next attempt.
You know they are going to blow it off. Play hardball for ONCE. Invite the widow and daughter of the assassination attempt. Invite the citizens who were desperately warning the police and getting ignored.
Humiliate DHS and DOJ. They will either slow walk, or say “under investigation and can’t comment”.
Interview the local police. They'll likely to be honest if the Feds refuse to answer question.
I have a hunch that the message either spoken or unspoken to the SS security detail was “If you see or hear anything suspicious ignore or look the other way, just let it happen” That’s how the system under most dictators work, as the subordinates know very well without being told what to do and what is expected of them. In other words a lukewarm aproach to the job they were asigned to do.
And they don’t even have to be that blunt. Imagine you ran an airline. You fire half the mechanics. You take them and the pilots and demand massive amounts of their time be dedicated to DEI. You hire people clearly not qualified for the job.
You can cause the crash without ever ordering someone to sabotage a plane.
They sabotaged the “airline” of Trump’s campaign detail but stripping it bare, putting DHS instead of SS, filling the ranks and leadership with DEI EEOC women, and on THAT day only the lead was on his detail and the rest were fill in’s from local offices and had never worked together. Do all that, repeatedly call Trump Hitler, and the end of “our democracy”.... and then let nature take it’s course.
They caused what happened... deliberately... and never had to issue an order per se. They have this down to an art.
I’m grateful they are being forced to show their hand so immediately, while the assassination attempt is still a vivid memory for all Americans. It also proves to Trump who just shot him. I assume Trump’s foolish “unity” emphasis in his convention speech will be rewritten to reflect this latest treachery.

That is true as far as it goes—but they needed some final touches.
Sabotaging communications at the critical moment is the last piece of the puzzle—otherwise the SS would have been able to get President Trump down and off stage before the shots were fired.
There was a two or three minute time frame where the substantial threat had been identified by both local law enforcement and Secret Service away from the stage.
If any of them had been able to get that word to their counterparts on the stage the assassination attempt would have been toast.
