Not to minimize their problem but aren’t these “American Citizens” actually Afghanis that we gave citizen paperwork to in order to entice persuade them to work for us while we ere occupying the co0untry? Probably also assured them that they would be evacuated out if the ground situation for them deteriorated too.

Don’t know, from their names, George Glezmann, Mahmood Habibi, Ryan Corbett, only one would seem to be potentially a native Afghani, but not really important. I forgot to post my comment to the article. Lacking information on the hostages, they could be legitimately charged with something, to me they’re irrelevant. The more important information in the article is the generous funding we’re providing the Taliban which is inexcusable. Much like Iran. I think ransoming hostages is usually a mistake, but if the administration disagrees they pay the ransom. Ongoing funding our enemies is absurd.
