According to a report from CNN citing law enforcement officials, Crooks bought the ladder from Home Depot on the day he tried to assassinate Trump from the roof of a nearby building.
If this report is accurate and to be believed, Crooks may have made it past law enforcement and the Secret Service carrying a very tall ladder and used it to climb the building unnoticed.
CNN reports:
On Friday, he went to a shooting range where he was a member, and practiced firing, a law enforcement official told CNN. The next morning, Crooks went to a Home Depot, where he bought a five-foot ladder, and a gun store, where he purchased 50 rounds of ammunition, the official said.
Then, Crooks drove his Hyundai Sonata about an hour north, joining thousands of people from around the region who flocked to Trump’s rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. He parked the car outside the rally, with an improvised explosive device hidden in the trunk that was wired to a transmitter he carried, the official said. Then, investigators believe, he used his newly-bought ladder to scale a nearby building, and opened fire on the former president.
Those who are shouldering both a ladder and a rifle and headed to the rally and had parked their van on a street supposedly closed for security should be reported. Of course, he was reported to LE but they ignored it.
Which should be followed up questioning why a public school would have an ad with Black Rock?
Probably his first and last sleepover.
Yes, it strangely was open. The orange hair dude in the video said he and his co-workers had just got off their shift and decided to hang around to listen to Trump’s speech. They couldn’t see Trump but could hear him. That’s probably the reason for him having a beer. There is another video of a bunch of people hollering at the shooter to stop and get down. Guessing that includes the co-workers.
Orange haired dude in the BBC video said he and his co-workers had just got off their shift so decided to listen to the rally. Supply and demand these days may have been the reason the company was open on Saturday or someone hadn’t updated the hours for forever. He would have already been called out if he lied. There were a lot of people at some random building.

You seem to know some about ladders so let me ask you some questions:
If you look at the photos in this article there is a good picture of the ladder:
It appears to be this brand:

How could someone walking around with a 12 foot ladder be missed?
Did the officer who confronted him climb this ladder? Somewhere it was reported he had to get a boost up from another officer.
Why didn’t he just climb the ladder?
Then he retreated from the shooter.
How did he retreat?
Did he jump off the building?
Why wasn’t the officer in the video of the gunman on the roof?
None of this is making much sense.
And he wasn't shot until after he fired and Trump fell.
Not a Lone Wolf.
He obviously had the right help.
Every media person is acting as tho 50 rounds of ammo is 50 CANNON BALLS.
A box of 50 rounds of .22 will fit into the Palm of my hand:
1 7/8” X 1 1/2” X 1”.
Can easily be dropped into pocket of jeans, etc.
NONE of the Media has the brains of a goose.
Like a cheap piano!
Have they determined it was 5.56 AMMO???
He killed 2 civilians so they should have ballistics by now. “Box of 50” ain’t gonna cut it.
Retired Fire Chief here. I have trained many firefighters in the use of ladders over the course of my career. That ladder is 50 pounds, wider at the base than the top and is 12 feet long. It doesn’t collapse and would be extremely cumbersome to balance and haul any distance, especially when paired with an AR. Hard not to notice dragging all that equipment and who knows what else down the street. The shooter is a slight and short in the pics that I’ve seen. I’d question that he had the upper body strength to do so!
Perp: “Here, hold my rifle while I carry this ladder to that building over there.”
LEO: “Sure thing, Citizen!”
One of the videos I saw showed a parked van next to an office with a red ladder on its roof. The conjecture was it was the same type of ladder used by the assassin, so he may have stolen it from a work vehicle.
It makes no sense at all. I understood that they had a backup sniper team in the building the assassin shot from. They were literally under him, and must have heard the roof moving. Those steel roofs are noisy to walk on. Whatever the guy did, must have needed a boost to get off of the ladder, because it was under the eaves. He retreated, and cost lives. He will die someday and the shame will still be there.
