Trump gave little thought to his cabinet picks and we saw how that worked out. This pick is of the same logic as Kamala. Pander to the base, at least that’s what he must be thinking. By why pander unless you are going to jilt the base?
JD is not conservative, libertarian, or even a populist. He is an opportunist with extreme poor political instincts. He will be a big government and corporatist hack driven by the latest poll. He won’t even have Trump’s back although he may have Thiel’s.
He will not reinforce votes from the base. Especially in all areas populated by briars and hillbillies which is where he was raised and but now thinks he has risen above. How could Trump make such a poor read?
Prepare for Trump to take his populism to the center.
JD is not afraid to stand up. The good thing is that he is not president and he will only have a chance to prove himself for 4 years as long as Trump stays healthy. The deepstate does not want JD as president and that gives Trump some life security. If it were Rubio or anyone like that then they would just take out Trump and therefore end up with one of their own that would do everything they asked. Now they would have to take out both Trump and Vance which is a lot harder to do.
