That would not apply here. Headshot at 130 yards, when the bullet is still going at close to 3,000 fps - 1/2” in the wrong direction and we’d be watching Trump’s funeral.

At 130 yards every type round is pretty effective. That is just barely out of effective pistol caliber/carbine range.

Thank you. All this gun-geek bickering over ballistics (I'm a gun-geek too, btw) is moot for the reason you lay out.

I've seen what a .223/5.56 does to living flesh. There's nothing deficient about it, so far as we're concerned here.

Don't believe me? Go shoot a gallon jug of water with one, or if you don't own one, invite yourself along with someone who does own one, and get a pretty good general idea. Or shoot a 1/4" steel plate with it.
