Unconfirmed reports indicate the SS sniper had the assassin in his sights for at least 3 minutes . Secret Service leadership refused to give the order to take out the perpetrator.

Yeah the sniper was a “local”...(PA state police or local police/sheriff/SWAT)....and info. is coming out that the SS “ROI” said he needed permission to fire (no “on own recog.”). See:

This is now getting walked back. Secret Service says no permission was needed to shoot.
