Youre the one claiming that the countersnipers have magical bullets, the problem must be that they dont have a carcano.
Maybe instead of running off at the mouth you could actually watch this video, the barn and the countersnipers are clearly shown. They do not have the height to change the angle enough to see around the ridge.

It seems that the best sniper position in the area with a direct short distance to the target had a small angle that interfered with a perfect view of the roof.
So, if you are the Secret Service what are you going to do, just ignore that annoying roof and put it out of your mind while hoping for the best, I guess.

They waited after eight shots were fired one shot at him with 16 seconds that elapsed after the first shot.
