Within hours of Donald Trump shooting, T-shirts put on sale in China

Just over two hours after an assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump during a rally in Pennsylvania, Chinese online retailers swiftly began selling souvenir T-shirts. These T-shirts featured photos capturing the moments just after Trump escaped the attempt on his life, according to a report by the Times of India (TOI).

Taobao seller Li Jinwei revealed, "We put the T-shirts on Taobao as soon as we saw the news about the shooting, though we hadn't even printed them, and within three hours we saw more than 2,000 orders from both China and the US." This quick turnaround was enabled by advanced digital printing technology, which allowed the T-shirts to be produced and listed for sale at unprecedented speed. recommended by

A Guangdong-based company, Xinflying Digital Printing Production, stated that their machines could print eight election-related T-shirts per hour. This capability was instrumental in meeting the sudden surge in demand. The company utilized digital printing technology, which enabled them to download relevant images and produce the merchandise almost instantaneously. Li's factory in Hebei province could complete a T-shirt in about one minute, highlighting the efficiency of their production process, as per the report by TOI.

Data from DHgate, a Chinese cross-border e-commerce platform, indicated a significant rise in the transaction volume of election-related souvenirs. Since January, there has been over a 40% month-over-month growth, with a notable 110% increase in March, as reported by TOI. This trend underscores the burgeoning market for political memorabilia, driven by both domestic and international customers. The swift production and sales of T-shirts following the Trump shooting incident illustrate the agility and responsiveness of Chinese online retailers and manufacturers. By leveraging digital printing technology, they were able to capitalize on a global news event and meet the demand for politically charged merchandise in record time.

It’s not advanced technology to take a photo and put it on a T-shirt

I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if President Trump was already selling the t-shirts on his website.

Good luck imposing ‘sanctions’ on that country.

All you need is a silk-screen shop and an internet connection.

If they can only print 8 per hour they need a better machine

Digital printing technology. Download images off internet. Photoshop onto shirt images and upload to website. Takes maybe 15 minutes. They’ll print actual shirts when orders come in.

I’m hoping someone, here in America, makes a 3’x5’ banner with that photo on it. I’d happily fly it along with the other flags I fly daily.

You just need a picture - doesn’t take long with today’s equipment. I think I posted yesterday, “t-shirts on sale tomorrow!”.
