These are not liberals they are leftist
That’s what liberals keep saying, but they keep voting for social benefits that happen to be progressive in nature.
A liberal is simply a less progressive leftist than the progressive. He like social benefits still paid for by another, which is what progressivism is all about.
You can tell me to use proper terminology when you can convince the progressives to stop calling themselves liberals. Until then, liberalism is synonymous with progressivism. Supposedly, liberals are simply a bit more freedom oriented, but they still want people enslaved for the benefit of the liberal by being forced to pay for the social benefits of the liberal.
I heard one Canadian liberal who was honest when he said that he’ll defend your right to freedom, after you have paid for your social obligations. So, liberals are not unconditionally freedom oriented any longer.
