Most of the time what we see happen is what happened. With no machiavellian plotting behind it. Here we have a lone gunman trying to kill Trump; failing and killing an rally attendee.
Is there more to this then what was seen? I think that likely.
Now why would Trump or his supporters stage such a shooting? If anything the absolute failure of law enforcement and Secret Service to pay attention when people told them about a gunmen suggests not a staged attempt by Trump or his supporters but an understanding that protecting Trump could be casual and indifferent. Such an understanding would not have been initiated by Trump. Who then?
Considering (Now reports could be wrong) that the shooter had been arrested for involvement with Antifa and other left wing extremist groups I would look for persons in authority who have been shown to have sympathetic leanings towards such groups. In simple terms.
Follow the money.

Trump has been ahead for quite awhile even before Biden’s debate debacle.
The focus was on Biden’s age and his inability to answer questions coherently and carry out the functions of the Presidency.
Now, it’ll be conspiracy theories 24/7 instead of Biden is senile and his policies are bad.
