I’m glad Mr. Trump was able to show energy and vitality at such a moment. Most people (including me!) would still be in shock. However raising his arm for a fist bump was probably something the Secret Service wanted to respectfully ask him to stop doing.

Trump is a spontaneous man in many situations.
That’s often a part of his strength. He trusts his instincts.
One never knows how you will react in such a situation, if it has never happened to you before.

True indeed. Even the most trained of soldiers can freeze up. I've never been in the military or a combat situation but the men who have survived it told me you can never know how you or your men will react when the shooting starts. Training they told me is the only thing that will give you a chance. I've heard it said that a good soldier has to be on guard at all times while your enemy only has to get lucky once.
