Maybe it’s just me ... but when I’m shooting a scoped rifle from prone, I turn my hat around so the bill doesn’t bump the scope. I’m amazed that the prone guy in back can see anything.
Your words make a lot of sense to me.
I admit that have no actual experience. Still, it would seem that with the bill forward, one would always have to think about it. If there is no benefit to having the bill forward, just turn it around.
