IMO the distance wasn’t anything special. Agreed. I'm going to say that it just wasn't Trump's time, and that the shooter got a little ancy in taking that shot.
I've seen really good bench shooters on a range, flinch and/or jerk a trigger in anticipation of making a big game shot. The adrenaline and nerves just get to them.
