I have held a grudge against the National Review for eight years, since their terrible "Against Trump" issue in 2016. I do, however, appreciate this editorial Expect the sudden flame-up of rationality and human feeling to quickly ebb.
9-11 stimulated a surge in patriotism and commonsense - but that didn't last long.

The surge of patriotism and commonsense after 9/11 did not last a week. By Friday, leftists were loudly complaining that they did not like seeing U.S. Flags being proudly displayed - especially on the fire trucks!
