On the replay, you can’t hear the shots, but saw another poster saying there were 8 shots. It is a miracle he was only grazed! As John Wayne would say, just a flesh wound...

Finally, from the supposed angle shown, why weren’t there wounded in the crowd behind him?

I question, on reflection, the report of 8 shots fired. Judging from the crowd reaction there was only one.

Look at the people in the stands stare to the left of the screen as if the shots came from that way!
The people in the upper left.

Shots came from left to right.

Because the shot could have been angled upward from below the level of the stage.

Nobody would be hit unless they were right next to him. Somebody or something off in the distance could have been hit

I counted eight shots also, on the X link where you can hear the audio of the shots. I wondered about nobody behind him appearing to get hit -> Speculation: If they were firing behind him, the people in front would be at risk.

Been thinking the same thing no way all those shots didn't hit a bunch of people. We all know how reliable initial reports are.
