Reagan was shot in 1981, not long after the beginning of his first term.
It was very early in his first term, 1981. I remember the coverage as I was a grad student, the news was daily viewing, and was worth watching back then. He was courageous and positive throughout. Changed a lot of people’s opinions of him.
I remember as he was the first president I voted for at 18. He was already president.
Pretty sure it was right after. Slowed down his second term.
And the POS got away with saying he was crazy, and years later released.
