Interesting.

Turkey can’t stop what individual members decide to do.

Turkey buys weapons from Russia. Kind of defeats the purpose of NATO. They should be kicked out.

“No, NATO member countries do not have the power to veto policies. Instead, all NATO decisions are made by consensus after discussion and consultation among member countries. However, countries that are already part of the alliance can veto new members.”

Did you notice the contradiction in the quote you posted?
If “all NATO decisions are made by concensus”...
it means that every NATO member has a defacto veto

I've never been convinced that Turkey belonged in NATO.
Might an amicable separation be worth consideration?

Probably a Genocide or two will get it done, it has in the past.

They belonged to NATO to block the Soviet Black Sea fleet from easy access to the Med. And they were on the southern flank of the CCCP and the eastern flank of some WP countries.

Turkey also continues its diplomatic efforts to end the Russia-Ukraine war, he said, hoping to get Crimea as reward from the Russians.

Should have been kicked out when they invaded Cyprus in 1974.

Other than Hungary, that is generally true.

Nah, Turkey will probably take the rest of Cyprus and Greece so they'll be properly administered by "NATO".
They've a history of administering formerly Greek territory and Citizens.

Turkey should be expelled from NATO, along with Hungary.
To: Inkie
Turkey is looking to join the SCO and BRICS.
It may be Turkey that leaves NATO rather than being kicked out.
