Did Israel always have control of the border ? Or did they move in during the post 10-7 actions?
The Philadelphi Corridor, the southern Gaza/Egypt border was turned over to Egypt when Israel withdrew from Gaza. Egypt has been responsible for security, including destroying tunnels and terrorists from the Egyptian side. Israel is planning on retaining a wider corridor along the Egypt Gaza border for security purposes.
