Watch: ‘Daily Show’ Reporter Stunned After Focus Group of Black New Yorkers Say They’re Backing Trump

A Daily Show reporter was left stunned after a focus group of black voters from New York were evenly split on whether they were supporting President Joe Biden or former President Donald Trump in the 2024 presidential election. “Yeah, I didn’t see that coming,” he said.

“Do I have to say his name? I don’t want to, but more than likely it’s going to be Trump,” a voter named Darryl said in response to Daily Show correspondent Josh Johnson, who asked, “Who will you be voting for in 2024?”

Johnson then asked the remaining five black New Yorkers who they were voting for in the November election, and quickly found that among the six panelists, three answered Biden, while the other three said they were backing Trump.

I have a client, a latino woman, who lives in the West Farms section of the Bronx- a very nasty area. She’s been my client for years but we’ve never talked politics- until last week.

She is firmly behind President Trump and when she found out i was at the rally in the south Bronx she freaked- because she wanted to be there....she sent me an email today, which ended “GO MAGA!!! I’ll be rooting for him in November!!!”

I suggested she do more than root- rather talk to the people in her neighborhood about DJT.

I’m not sure that the headline really matches the content, but it was yet again evidence that the more informed were on the Trump side.
