Maybe a little off topic, but I’ve been checking out www.PublicSquare.com, a “parallel economy” option where you’re “not giving money to companies who hate you”.
It started out with just a few companies and products, but noticed yesterday that it has become much more sophisticated with some really good stuff.
"Very well, unelected bureaucrat. No more calls. We'll hire armed guards and take care of the theft problem ourselves.
"One question, though. Do you prefer we use the courts to hold the thieves accountable, or do we have your authorization to administer justice ourselves?
"We appreciate and expect your prompt response, dear unelected bureaucrat."
California has become the Mad Tea Party on a grand scale.
That is actually happening to me. I have traveled extensively around the world and the United States now appears to me to be much like some of the worse places I’ve been. It is all so sad and doesn’t need to be like that. The REASON is the influx of people here who have no foundation in Biblical values AND Americans turning away from same and refusing to be faithful to God. There are severe consequences coming.
2004 was the last “normal” year for me. I’m very sorry to say.
Sounds like Target is attracting criminals, so it should be closed as a public nuisance.
Close the store. That’ll show’em.
There was a report of a Target store that closed in order to put everything behind plexiglass and have employees accompany shoppers to unlock the displays. That was a silly waste of resources.
Perhaps you have noticed that half the people in Walmart are employees picking orders for delivery or customer pickup. What that Target store should have done is wall off the store behind the registers and install kiosks where customers could place their orders. Then it is a small step to replace employees with robots that will pick the orders.
Just like the old days of retail, but with robots.
I know the area well, and have been in that store several times.
There is a housing project a block away and homeless roam the entire area like zombies.
Interestingly, it’s only a couple of blocks from some of the most expensive homes in Sac...$1mil++.
Thus the complaints.
Maybe Target should just close that store down and sell the property so the city doesn't rake in all of the Taxes that Target pays.
Look! Crime is going down!
= = =
But your phone calls, requesting ‘special’ treatment shows that White Supremecy is going up.
One way to get the crime statistics down. Threaten the victims if they report a crime.
“Sacramento City Attorney’s Office warned Target it could face fines for retail theft calls”
the simplest and most cost-effective solution to this threat is to permanently close the store ... given the level of theft, it would also improve Target’s bottom line ...
At least the Twilight zone only lasts 30 minutes
In California, it is now illegal to report a crime.
If I was Target I’d say FU go ahead and fine me and I’ll see you in court.
“..But I do not recognize this place. Maybe we’re in.....
The Twilight Zone....”
Naaa....but it certainly feels like it could be a Twlight Zone episode from long ago.
Actually, we’re in the new-acquired Bideland. We’re just the has-been leftovers from the conquered former USA. Their wonderful “newcomers” own it all...we’re just vermin tax slaves that have to pay for it all....spit.
FJB
Target can leave. The small business guys whose capital is all tied up in their single location are the ones who are screwed.

How’s Business?
Jon told me that the somebody from the church across the alley had told him that four of the local homeless drug addicts were messing with the HVAC unit behind the store, and Jon had told them that they were trespassing and had to leave, but he didn’t look at what they had been doing to the HVAC. A little before 5 pm somebody from the post office walked into the store and told me to go look at the damage done to the HVAC. The grill that protected the heat exchanger for the air conditioner had been removed, the heat exchanger was bent out of position, and some copper piping had been cut and removed. I called 9-1-1 and was asked if anybody was waving around a gun or if anybody needed an ambulance, and told that if not then I should not be calling 9-1-1 but should instead fill out a form on the city’s website. By the next morning the drug addicts had come back and stolen the heat exchanger and a lot more copper pipe. I filed a report with the insurance company (a different company than the one for my home) and called a HVAC company to get a quote to repair or replace the HVAC. The insurance company wanted to pay for a repair rather than a replacement, but the drug addicts kept coming back and cutting off more pieces (including lots of internal wiring) until both the heat and the air conditioning were no longer functional.
