WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. President Joe Biden is not being treated for Parkinson's disease, the White House said on Monday, after reports surfaced that a doctor specializing in the malady had visited the White House eight times over the past year.
Concerns that the president might be suffering from an undisclosed illness have risen since Biden's stumbled in his June 27 debate with Republican Donald Trump.
The New York Times said White House visitor logs show that Dr. Kevin Cannard, a neurologist who specializes in movement disorders and recently published a paper on Parkinson’s, visited the White House eight times from last summer through the spring of this year.
During an acrimonious briefing, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre refused to confirm Cannard's visit, saying she wanted to respect the privacy of all involved for security reasons.
She said Biden had seen a neurologist three times connected to Biden's annual physical exams.
She said Biden was not being treated for Parkinson's.

They’re lying.
Don’t believe anything until it’s officially denied.
By the White House
By the Government...
Everyone on both sides needs to step back, and let Dr. Kevin R. Cannard examine Biden at Walter Reed for a few days and then suggest treatment plans and other options.
If Dr Cannard feels that Biden can stay on, so be it.
If Dr Cannard feels that Biden should resign, so be it.

The President’s personal physician and a nurse who coordinates his care scheduled the meetings with Dr. Kevin R. Cannard. Before last July, he had come only once during Joe Biden’s administration.
Dr. Kevin R. Cannard, a Parkinson’s disease specialist, has visited the White House at least nine times in the last year, official White House visitor logs show.
The logs show Dr. Cannard traveled to the White House residence medical clinic each time.
He met either with the president’s personal physician or the naval nurse who coordinates care for the president and other top officials, the logs show.
Dr. Cannard’s spate of visits began on July 28, 2023 and continued at least through March 28, 2024. The most recently released logs end on April 1, so it is not clear if Dr. Cannard has been to the White House more recently.
The logs do not note the purpose of Dr. Cannard’s visits.
A physician profile page for him notes he is a “neurologist and movement disorders specialist at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center”, who researches treatments for “early phase Parkinson’s disease.” Walter Reed provides medical care to senior federal officials.
As Napoleon Bonaparte said: “Never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake.”
I have regular visits with a cardiologist due to cardiac surgery and arrhythmia. My GP does not do followups on my heart, my cardiologist does the followups.
Joe is seeing a Parkinsons specialist. He has Parkinsons or Lewy Body disease (abnormal deposits in the brain). Both diseases would be treated by the same specialist and display similar symptoms.
The president is mentally gaga. The White House is lying to us.
Of course Biden is not being treated for Parkinson’s, they are just letting Biden roam around as a tragic, free-range moron.
Great news. There’s wrong with Biden. That’s the ticket
It’s purely dementia... Which means he’s incapable of making a decision to resign. His support person Jill must decide and she’s obviously decided to continue to the campaign.
All the white house had to say is Jill is end of story

No. Depends upon how you define "is."
Ask Bill Clinton.
Of course Biden is not being treated for Parkinson’s, they are just letting Biden roam around as a tragic, free-range moron.
He has it, but they are not treating it per directives by Dr. Jill.
Peter didn’t get one question today. He knows those people so well he knows what questions to ask so there is no wiggle room.
“Biden is not being treated for Parkinson’s, White House says”
1. Parkinson’s Disease is only one cause of the neurological constellation of symptoms known as “parkinsonism.”
Thus, he could be treated for parkinsonism and not for Parkinson’s Disease. Technically correct, but weasel words.
2. I believe that he has Lewy Body Dementia, a form of dementia with elements of parkinsonism. Parkinson’s medications don’t really work for this.
It’s the White House.
Probably lying.
Well, according to leftist definitions, Joe is absolutely amazing and no no no there’s no dementia, Alzheimer’s, Parkinsons, etc.....there’s just absolutely nothing wrong with Joe Tato.
See, he just had a bad day at the debate or had a cold or was cramming or Trump was yelling at him or spent too much time on a plane or didn’t have enough ice cream or the dog bit him or “fill in the blank”
One of them should stick, right?
Hallucinations and loss of time/location are hallmarks of the disease.
My mother had it.
It’s far, far worse than Alzheimers.
They don’t believe it. They just cover for him, he’s their guy.
I still rrmember the articles they shoved out there about Trump being too old. Guy is 3 years younger than Captain Lid Day (Biden).
Or maybe they are not treating Joe. See answer still correct 🤣
Biden has cerebral vascular disease. He had a brain aneurysm in his late 40s. He’s had this condition for quite some time. I’m sure he’s had several TIAs (small arteries become temporarily plugged). People with this condition may not even be able to speak for a while. They experience dizziness, ataxia, vision problems, and cognitive issues. It is a progressive disease.
Basically, this is also the cause of his dementia. It is called vascular dementia:

People with vascular dementia may experience:
Difficulty performing tasks that used to be easy, such as paying bills
Trouble following instructions or learning new information and routines
Forgetting current or past events
Misplacing items
Getting lost on familiar routes
Problems with language, such as finding the right word or using the wrong word
Changes in sleep patterns
Difficulty reading and writing
Changes in personality, behavior, and mood, such as depression, agitation, and anger
Hallucinations or delusions (believing something is real that is not)
Poor judgment and loss of ability to perceive danger
I’ll take 7th Stage Alzheimer’s for 1000 Alex.
