But the Earth will heat up and explode or something like that.
The government will buy them all and give them to the migrants! This bails out the manufacturers and buys votes from illegals.
I just love driving by charging islands filled with suffering EV owners while waving and giving a thumbs up. They must be mocked.
if we don’t catch all our houses on fire by charging our EV’s, the world will heat up too much!
“But but green energy!! All electric cars by 2030!!”
Like just about everyone here, I also have no intention to buy an EV. However, Trump is so brash that I just cannot vote for him - makes me feel uncomfortable when I meet the much more sophisticated Europeans. So, even though I agree with Trump on everything, he doesn’t get my vote, because it just DOES NOT feel right.

Great how the rat moles at Breitbart pad this story. A near collapse of EV sales becomes bumps on the road to adoption. Laying much of the blame on lack of taxpayer funded charging stations when that barely makes the top 5 reasons.
Pull up, gun your engine then peel out.
Got a nice deal on a Polestar this weekend. Like Tesla, a top-level driving experience. A bit less convenient to charge, and prefer Tesla’s driver assist conveniences (ding, green light! (very helpful in full-face sun), but nonetheless...
lol. you’ve never driven an ev, have you?
Sadly, I have the wrong vehicle for that.
I know what you mean. Our local Walmart has ten chargers and there are always people in them, running their air conditioners full blast, charging up the old jalopy while the mister or missus is doing the shopping. There’s nothing as incongruous as a rich man’s play toy getting charged at the working man’s Walmart.
“...consumers grapple with high costs, infrastructure challenges, and geopolitical tensions”
And horrible resale value and lousy performance in cold weather and lousy performance in hot weather and a scratch on the pan totals your car and and and and.
I mean this with all due respect, GFY.
Yo didn’t read his tagline, did yo?
46 % of those who purchased an EV have indicated they would not be buying one again but would be returning to ICE or hybrid. Perhaps this is why the administration is dragging its feet on charger infrastructure although throwing away money is a special talent they possess,7 billion dollars and 7 built to date. The writing is on the wall and it declares prescient hybrid king Toyota the winner
Not there yet.
Still too expensive for most.
Charging infrastructure not in place.
Like pickup trucks, lots of folks want a $15K road going vehicle for tasks and errands. They don’t need a $50K truck.
EVs for local travel, around town errands, short regular commutes are a great idea.
I plug in and charge my phone, laptop, lawn tools, min vacs and all kinds of other stuff.
Why not a local commuter car?
Stayed at a mariott in St. Augustine over the 4th. There were about 120 parking spots all taken except for 7 of 8 EV spots which were unoccupied. Still the over reaching bureaucracy in DC is pushing them and forcing subsidies at same time. The new yahoo at ford is projecting that will be what is built so those wanting large vehicles will not get them. The hack is in effect promoting the current day Edsel with our money as is the hack bara at GM. At 79 I am in the market for the highest HP car I can afford and plan to ride it into the sunset. Feel bad for those who cannot but if they are of the EV crazed dem crowd I say GFY.
The government coercion on this subject was what convinced me never to buy an EV.
I won’t even take one for free.
No jabs.
No EVs.
I am not their slave.
Anyone who “buys” an EV in NY or PA is absolutely nuts. The cost of electricity here is insane.
