I remember a story about a guy walking around with a QR code on his t-shirt. When you scanned the code, it lead to a website of nude pictures of him. I have been leary of random QR codes since.

I suspect that approach is most useful under categories of
“Things most people would not voluntarily click on, if they knew what was on it.”
