How are they a “cohort”? They are a variety of forces m dofferent locations amd bases, some active duty military, many not, many police amd intelligence agencies. You can make any arbitrary definition of cohort I guess.

In any case the killingnof the soldiers is as illegal and unethical as killing the civilians. Hamas is an illegal terror organization with no right to kill anyone, in fact, no right to exist.
