He has to stay in office if for no other reason than to pardon Hunter. If he’s gone there’s no guarantee his kid won’t wind up behind bars.

Yep. Joe is in a bad spot here. He could pardon Hunter instantly, today. But that would make both him and the Democrats look bad, and affect Democrat chances in November.

So best to wait until after the election.

But even that’s risky. Should Joe become incapacitated (or worse), no pardon for Hunter.
