LONDON (Reuters) - Reform UK, the right-wing populist party led by Nigel Farage, looks set to emerge as a new force in British politics, winning its first seat in an election and squeezing the Conservative vote in the early results declared.
Farage, a driving force behind Britain's decision to leave the European Union, only entered the election race last month, a move that caused shockwaves in a Conservative Party that was already far adrift of centre-left Labour.

Yeah, I know British elections are weird, first past the post and all that, but it is kinda of big news.

You do know that the US system is also first past the post

That’s nice, meanwhile the UK is headed for a Muslim- Hindu Civil War. Should have listened to Enouch Powell.

So in other words he’ll be serving in the chamber as a representative right? This is confusing.

Why is it always “Right Wing” or “Far Right”, but it’s always “Centre-Left?

Yes.....he has been duly elected to The House of Commons. 650 seats. Whoever gets most votes in their constituency - regardless of party -earns one of those seats.
The party who gains the most seats wins and their leader becomes Prime Minister.

The Reform party came out with just four seats.
Those disaffected with the Tories mostly switched either to the Liberals, Labour, or stayed at home.
Contrast with recent voting in France, the Netherlands, Italy etc;
Britain is truely finished.
