“We won’t know what’s going on for real until it happens. We watch the news, listen to the commentary but we are not informed about the myriad problems each side faces at home.
And at home I’d guess Russia is the weaker combatant.”
Thanks.
Appreciate your observation.
“The Ukrainians are fighting a losing battle. They are running out of men to throw into the front lines. They have no way to defend against the FAB bombs. One bomb takes out an entire building. They used to need 100s of rounds of artillery to get a similar result.”

UPDATE
“Russian troops captured tiny part of Chasiv Yar, Donetsk Oblast, which was previously home to 12,000 people, three months after launching a broad offensive on Chasiv Yar, at cost of 99,000 killed and wounded, Forbes reported on July 4.
Analysts predict that the Russians will continue their offensive in this direction, slowly advancing at the cost of huge losses among personnel and equipment, while inflicting much less damage on Ukrainian forces.
“To capture each city or even district, the Russians are burying tens of thousands of their own troops,” article reads.”
Russia’s heavy losses helped Ukraine maintain its defense, as Russian brigades are weakening and the Kremlin barely has time to recruit new troops. Experts say the reason for the heavy losses is the transfer of recruits to the front “without adequate leadership, training or equipment.”
HOWEVER, Gen.Blather’s comment is most relevant:
“We won’t know what’s going on for real until it happens. We watch the news, listen to the commentary but we are not informed about the myriad problems each side faces at home.
And at home I’d guess Russia is the weaker combatant.”
