Joe Biden’s Bad Debate
Huffington Post ^ | July 4, 2024 | Jennifer Bendery

[snip]

The panic right now may be at least somewhat unique to the D.C. political bubble.

Rep. Al Green (D-Texas) told HuffPost on Wednesday that his Houston office has only received 12 calls about Biden since the debate, and the sentiment was evenly split. Six callers said they wanted Biden to step aside, and six said they wanted him to stay in the race, even though it’s a district that reliably votes Democrat.

“The piling on is causing a good many people that I’ve talked to to believe that President Biden is not being treated fairly,” Green said. “Everybody knows he’s old. But we’ve had senior statesmen, elder statesmen before, and he is an elder statesman.”

“He makes good decisions,” added the Texas Democrat. “Everybody knows that.”

If you yanked some 80-year old guy off the street...telling them for next seven days that they have to spend ten hours a day ‘studying’ for some test and remember 500-odd facts, 99-percent would fail.

Then you add in that you probably took some cold medication...probably did a bit of cocaine to hype yourself up...and add that you never put in more than four hours of real work per day....you end up with this mess.

What if the democrats told the truth.

“Yes, we see President Biden in need of more and more time off. Yes, perhaps he needs to retire but at this late stage it could result in a Trump victory. The President will remain on the ticket with our next president, VP Harris and her future VP, Mark Kelly. We hope you understand the President’s delicate situation.”

I think it might work. Lots and lots of Kelly.

Considering his constituency, I doubt he got any calls at all.

All the speculation by Republicans is fine and dandy; the real task is to put together the best plan to elect 60 GOP Senators, a large House majority, and the presidency.

We already have the Supreme Court.

If you want to see democrats freak-out, talk to them about a total sweep at the federal level and appointing a couple of more young conservatives to the Supreme Court.

I had to tear into the engine to find the trouble with the Cadaver Clown Car:

““He makes good decisions,” added the Texas Democrat. “Everybody knows that.”

There’s your trouble.

"He's not being treated fairly."

Hur said Biden (decades of document theft, no PRA applicability) shouldn't be charged because of his faulty memory, which could be politically damaging as he runs for reelection this year and that a jury would be sympathetic to him. Yet, PDJT was charged, despite the PRA absolving him of guilt. That is, the case will be overturned. It's 100% election interference.

It's obviously not Biden, but PDJT that's been treated unfairly.

"He makes good decisions."

Ha!   What was that about $80B in top-notch military hardware being left to our enemies in Afghanistan? Getting 13+ servicemen killed, leaving hundreds of citizens and employees stranded?

Like siccing the corrupt, vindictive Garland onto Trump, lying about so many things in the debate, using lawfare against PDJT, using social media to censor conservatives stealing 1st A rights from both readers and opiners, endorsing the DS's COVID attack, etc., etc. People that think like that should be recognized as not deserving any ink or face time.

“Bad debate” is so yesterday.

Today drjill is demanding the Lincoln Memorial be demolished and the “Biden Memorial”
be erected in its place since Joe Biden proved his debating skills far surpass Abe Lincoln.

“Everybody knows he’s...an elder statesman.”

LOLOL....elder yes. Statesman? That’s the last word in the world I’d use to describe this vapid mealy-mouthed loser. Name one bit of statecraft he has done.

President Trump shepherded the Abraham Accords through and he was a rank beginner at statecraft and didn’t have a 50 year history in DC.

It’s not Traitorjoe’s age that is the problem; it’s his rapidly deteriorating dementia that is the problem. After all, Flatlinejoe was stupid to begin with, and it’s only gone downhill from there.

“Name one bit of statecraft he has done”

Even if he had some bit of statecraft behind him he’d likely have repudiated it on the record by now. See the YouTube of him debating HIMSELF!

Green said. “Everybody knows he’s old. But we’ve had senior statesmen, elder statesmen before, and he is an elder statesman.”

We need to get off the ‘age’ issue. We need to focus on the real problem which isn’t Biden’s age. The real problem is Biden’s senility.

I would like to know who owns Al Greene (D - Bozo).

He is as dumb as a sack of hammers and has been in office forever, doing nothing.

Why would you need days of ‘debate prep’ to be able to discuss what you’ve accomplished over the last three years or what you hope to accomplish in the next four, if in fact you were the one making the decisions?

Right now, the dems are saying, ‘Joe just had a bad night’, which sounds true except for the word ‘just’. Last week we were being told that ‘edited’ videos were distorting what Biden is like. The unedited debate comes along and we see 90 minutes of Biden being Biden and now we’re told it is jet-lag, cold medicine, over-preparation and likely soon something else. But it’s not dementia, no sir ee.

So, according to this guy the callers are saying that Biden is simply beautiful, and that they desire to let’s stay together. He’s saying that they’re expressing love and happiness for the good times? And somehow they’re talking about look what you done for me, and that they’re tired of being alone. They’re hoping that the Biden campaign will take me to the river and that everything’s going to be alright. But if he steps down, they’ll be asking how do you mend a broken heart?

We’re supposed to believe that?
