With President Joe Biden under pressure to drop his bid for a second term, his party has been thrust into uncharted territory, struggling with a long list of risks and rewards as it faces the prospect of replacing Biden less than two months before the party convention.
No presumptive nominee has withdrawn this late in the process. But no party has faced the challenge the Democrats face today: a nominee dogged by doubts about his mental acuity; his ability to beat his rival, former President Donald Trump; and his fitness to serve another four years as president.
All of this has left Democrats struggling with critical questions: Is it easier to defeat Trump with or without Biden at the top of the ticket? Is it riskier to go with a new candidate or stick with a president who appears headed for defeat?
Several Democrats said that no matter the risks, a new nominee could bring a host of benefits to the party, particularly if Biden anointed a successor in an effort to assure a smooth transition and minimize intraparty battling.
But other Democrats, including some advising Biden, said that changing horses now could lead to divisive and destructive feuding in the party. It could saddle the party with an untested candidate and a logistical nightmare that would only increase the prospects of a Trump victory this fall.
“A lot of things have to fall into place where it would take an act of God for it to go well,” said Stephanie Cutter, a Democratic consultant who also advises the Biden campaign but was not speaking on its behalf.

I see no positive way out for them. Thankfully. They deserve every defeat they endure.
The democrats have created such an unstable world on purpose so changing administrations is unlikely, except for the fact Trump has the experience and relationships to have a smooth transition.

Newsome would make the most sense... They need to balance the ticket with a man. Picking another woman is out of the question.
In the end, the Democrats will pay a price for trying to hoodwink the nation into thinking that Joe Biden isn’t demented and the longer they wait to replace him, the worse it gets.
I think one more fall, trip, faceplant will do it, dementia Joe was on full display for the whole world to see, that can’t be unseen

Conservative attendees in DC--who never even set foot on Capitol on J6 have been viciously and unlawfully set upon by 6am raids from SWAT teams, robbed of their wealth (given to legal process and lawyers) and as they've been incarcerated, sometimes with more than 20-year sentences!
The left projects its own actions by saying that editorials not completely favorable to Biden create "undue influence" and "election interference."
All Christians--and even Jews--should understand that the LEFT is moving swiftly to eliminate them from the public sphere.

Trump had better be beefing up his security and considering a VP who will make him assassination proof.
The moment came and within 10 or 15 minutes, the whole world had SOLIDIFIED it's opinion about Joe Biden.
No amount of post debate spin and "reporting" can, nor will, change the mind of the world.
Every world leader is PERMANENTLY set in their opinion that Joe Biden is not in the same class and category as every other world leader and though he may be bolstered here in America by a sycophant media, Joe Biden is no longer relevant in world politics.
