President Biden's interview with ABC News' George Stephanopoulos will now air a primetime special on Friday.
The shift from the previously announced Sunday morning time slot reflects the urgency of the situation Biden faces growing pressure from some Democrats to abandon his re-election bid in the wake of his lackluster debate performance.
"This story is of national interest, so we are making it a primetime" special to air Friday, the same day the interview is taking place, a network source said.
The first clip of Biden's interview will air on "World News Tonight with David Muir" Friday evening and then it will be broadcast in its entirety from 8pm ET, per an ABC News statement.

From what I can tell, Biden’s interview will not be broadcast live. Therefore, it means zero. Nothing.
After all, a decent editor can make Homer Simpson sound smarter than Albert Einstein.
Joe will appear alert, vigorous, engaged, aggressive, energetic, charming, funny, and the media will declare a comeback.

It will be pre-recorded between the hours of 10:00 and 4:00. Hopefully, they will be able to get 20 minutes of usable video for the interview during that 6 hour window.
It gives them extra time to edit out anything “mumble, mumble, mumble. And we beat Medicaid, too”

They are going to keep up the gas lighting.
Biden isn’t competent enough to be fluid in his answers to where editing would be easy and stealth. ABC is going to have a hard time editing out his lapses. Only so much they can do… cut to George, switch camera angles, etc.
The media would not be doing this for Trump if situation was reversed.

Trump is only talking to a few Independents now. There is no one else undecided. Biden OTOH is talking to Democrats.
If I were running things at the WH, I would get an emergency scheduled in Israel for Friday, causing a postponement of the interview. Release footage of Biden getting military briefings. Same result as the interview.
Roger Mudd Ted Kennedy interview was in primetime, and the candidate never quite recovered.
I hope he does well enough to keep his traitorous ass in the race for November.
